Charity for the needy

Thadagam Foundation’s philanthropic footprint made it a viable agent of real change as it creates notable, positive impacts in the society. Thadagam helps relieve economic, social, and health challenges faced by individuals in troublesome times. Needy people are provided with the opportunity to experience a sense of stability with the Foundation’s humanitarian initiatives. After all, we all share this lovely planet.

For over 20 years, the trustees of this foundation have been carrying out food distribution and other charitable activities to scores of poor families in Akaladu, Mannalamkunnu, and other coastal areas in Thrissur District which were all brought together under the trust named ’Thadagam Foundation ‘in the year 2017 (formerly called as Thadagam education and charitable trust). Fishermen community in these areas face intense financial crisis in months when the sea doesn’t give them much.

Thadagam Foundation provides a monthly pension to more than 50 senior citizens, considering their financial status and needs. It also provides mobility scooters for many elderly people.

Kudumbashree Janakiya Hotel at Punnayurkulam, Thrishur, celebrating 1st anniversary, which was started as a part of State Government’s project for a “Hungry Free Kerala” for availing food for all common people at subsidized rates. Helping  the deprived communities to survive the Covid-19 crisis

Jaleel Holdings Contribution to Flood Relief Fund

As per the UN estimates, an amount of 31,000/- crores was required to rebuild the infrastructure and remodeling the people’s lives, thus forming a brand new Kerala after the devastating flood in 2018.Under the guidance of Thadagam, the trustees Sameer K Mohammed and Dr.Zakir K Mohammed   wholeheartedly contributed 25 lakhs towards the flood relief fund to the Chief Minister, Mr.Pinarayi Vijayan, when he visited UAE in October 2018.

Kerala was in an unprecedented flood havoc. The disaster has caused endless misery and destruction which eradicated many lives and hundreds of homes. For the first time in history, 27 dams in the State had to be opened.

Cheque was distributed to several officials by our Chairman towards the flood relief programs to reconstruct the demolished houses.

Flood Relief in Kerala

When Kerala was engulfed by unprecedented floods, Thadagam Foundation wasted no time to be a part of the relief work. Our Chairman Mr. M V Kunhumohamed and foundation staff were always in the forefront in providing food items like rice, vegetables, oil, sugar etc and also sheets, pillows and floor mats to the inmates of more than twenty relief camps in nearby panchayats. The relief work continued till the last person returned to his home after the flood waters receded.
